⚫ Extended Description and Concept
This unique structural relief, titled ELEMENT: C, represents the artist's deep reflection on the element of carbon and its transformations.
Carbon, a fundamental element for life, acts here as a philosophical and aesthetic bond. It manifests in the pure graphite on the frame of the artwork and in the charred wood panels.
The work is a study in monochromatic texture. The central and most intriguing feature is the wide, convex frame (15 cm width). Its irregular, organic surface, modeled from paper clay, is fully covered with intense graphite. This finish lends the frame a sense of rawness and monumentality.
Inside the composition, wooden panels (10x10 cm) were placed, treated with fire using the Japanese *Shou Sugi Ban* method. The charred structure of the wood emphasizes the depth of black and symbolizes the transformation of matter under the influence of fire as a force of nature.
