PADOUK OMBRÉ – a natural gradient shaped by fire.
Minimalist PADOUK OMBRÉ geometric earrings captivate with a subtle transition from the rich crimson tones of exotic Padouk wood to a velvety black finish, created using the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban charring technique. Every pair is handcrafted, making the wood grain and the intensity of the ombré effect entirely unique.
PADOUK OMBRÉ earrings tell a story of contrasts. The rich, warm red tones of exotic Padouk wood gradually fade into the deep black of carefully charred tips, creating a striking ombré effect inspired by nature itself. Their slender geometric silhouette enhances the elegance of the design, while the subtle shine of the silver-tone stud adds a contemporary touch. Minimalist yet distinctive, they captivate through the harmonious balance of colour, texture, and natural materials rather than excess.
Each pair of earrings is handcrafted from start to finish in my studio. Exotic Padouk wood is carefully cut, precisely sanded, and partially charred using the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. The controlled flame creates a seamless transition from the wood's natural crimson hue to a deep charcoal black while enhancing its beautiful grain. Finally, each piece is brushed and sealed with a safe satin-finish protective lacquer, ensuring a smooth, pleasant-to-the-touch surface and lasting durability for years to come.
