PADOUK OMBRÉ earrings tell a story of contrasts. The rich, warm red tones of exotic Padouk wood gradually fade into the deep black of carefully charred tips, creating a striking ombré effect inspired by nature itself. Handmade with Passion and Respect for Nature
Each pair of earrings is handcrafted from start to finish in my studio. Exotic Padouk wood is carefully cut, precisely sanded, and partially charred using the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. The controlled flame creates a seamless transition from the wood's natural crimson hue to a deep charcoal black while enhancing its beautiful grain. Finally, each piece is brushed and sealed with a safe satin-finish protective lacquer, ensuring a smooth, pleasant-to-the-touch surface and lasting durability for years to come.
